Hurricane Florence Postpones Lilac 94 Performances

Updated: May 29, 2019

Following our prize-winning success in Saluzzo, Italy, Lilac 94 was thrilled to be returning to North Carolina to perform a chamber music concert on the Kenan Chapel Concert Series as well as a school event and concert with the Wilmington Symphony Orchestra. However, Hurricane Florence was hitting the Cape Fear Region as we were leaving Venice, Italy and heading back to the United States, Florence had something else in mind.

Florence was not kind or gentle to North Carolina, so Lilac 94’s chamber music concert at Kenan Chapel on Sept.16th and the Sept. 22nd performance of Sir Karl Jenkins’ double harp concerto Over the Stone with the Wilmington Symphony have been cancelled as the region begins recovery efforts. Please stay tuned as the performances get rescheduled.

In the meantime, we encourage your support of organizations and personnel assisting the

Cape Fear Region’s recovery and revitalization.
