Call for Scores for Two Harps

An important part of Lilac 94's mission is to identify, expand, and diversify the harp duo repertoire.

With the backdrop of Women's History Month 2020, our inaugural Call for Scores seeks music for    two harps by female, gender non-conforming composers, and composers representing the ALAANA communities (African/Black, Latinx, Asian/South Asian, Arab/Middle Eastern, and Native American).

Submission Details


  • Composers of all ages are encouraged to submit their work.

  • There are no submission fees

  • By submitting a work, composer gives Lilac 94 permission to include your composition in a future public performance program.

  • By submitting a work, composer also gives Lilac 94 permission to include your composition its Two Harps Repertoire list, including links to composer's website and publisher's website, if applicable.

  • Lilac 94 reserves the right to not include composition(s) in its Two Harps Repertoire list.

  • By accepting a composer's submission, there is no implied indication that Lilac 94 will, in fact, program the composition.

  • Lilac 94 reserves the right to not program a piece submitted in this call for scores.

While we aim to formally organize a Call for Scores with a particular focus such as this at least once a year, composers should feel free to send us an e-mail with information about yourself and your composition(s) for two harps (or harp duo plus one or more other instruments), please let us know. What to Submit

Submit your initial information using the form below. Once we have received your information, we will be in touch with you with where to send your score and additional information.

Please be prepared to send us the following:

  • PDF of the score/parts

  • Program Notes

  • Short bio (~150 words)

  • The works' performance history noting dates, performers, and venues/concert series.

  • If you have a recording of the piece, include links to Soundcloud and/or YouTube recording(s).
